When someone says “ All I want is you”
I ask how can that be true.
What happens when you look deep into these eyes so very
blue?
What do you truly see?
Am I really your soul’s “True North”, your fate, your
ultimate destiny?
So, you see those pointed words can have such an uninhibited
power…
That the feelings must be growing stronger and stronger
Day by day, hour by hour!!!
So can you say “All that I need is you?”
Doubtfully, I must sadly digress
For you see If you all you truly needed was me,
That would put your heart and soul in distress
Leaving it closed to any of the offerings of the outside
world.
I would ecstatically accept that you do want and need me in
your life,
If only you had a way to show it to me, but that might leave
you feeling vulnerable and hurt.
For, ultimately the fear would consume you that the feelings
would be like wind blowing in the dirt.
You would question your own feelings as well
And day after day dwell
In the promise that we would always be together and never
part.
If only that could be…
Search your soul, search your heart…
Finally ask yourself, WHAT are your true feelings for ME.
Then let me know
Or let me go
So dare you actually breathe the words in my ear
If so, I am right here, writing this behind eyes so very
blue
Right here, just waiting for YOU!!!
I can so relate to this! They say the windows are the window to the soul. I think some souls hide behind bravado and others are just plain corrupt. Others still don't know what they want so will show you what you want but change their minds to often. I love easily and deeply and wholeheartedly. Unfortunately some don't look at my heart, only the outside shell and to me, thats their loss. And I will say that I can be selfish. I want that same love back. I want a partner not someone who will walk in front of me or behind me.
ReplyDeleteI would want more then I would have because there are always dreams for the future. I'm working on my dream of moving to Michigan and then I'll find another dream to work towards. In there somewhere is finding someone who can love me and accept my kids because we are a package deal.
