Irony of Life

Oh the bittersweet irony of life.
Where I expect happiness
I find suffocating sadness
Where I expect pleasure
I found profound pain
The woman I never expected to lose
I lost all too long ago.
The children I expected to father
Took away from me & pushed even farther

I used to think life was so unfair.
Poor Poor me
But actually it is fair
It's perfected planned Karma
Coupled with Irony
Threesomed with Dogma
Finished out with Satire

There you have it:
Life's K.I.D.S
Oh the perpetual paradoxical irony of Life

Who would have thought that
Through a permanent icon of sadness
I'd become happier than I ever felt.
Through the darkest days I shall discover the most light
From the greatest losses I shall gain the most
With the greatest pain I'll discover the deepest pleasure
Finally from being the poorest I shall become the richest man.

Oh the beautiful sweet irony of this life!
